据说距今70万年前人类已将“陶器”作为食器或壶来使用。在公元前3000年左右的美索不达米 亚平原陶器开始作为建筑材料被使用其陶制技术通过波斯流传到中国，从而作为陶器技术发 展起来。此后9世纪左右瓷砖作为建筑材料得到了进一步的普及。作为装饰材料妆点于伊 斯兰教清真寺．以此勾勒出庄严的阿拉伯式风格，光彩绽放。它随之征服西班牙后来遍遍及整个欧洲，被使用在从寺院建筑到住宅的各色建筑物上。在日本1868年明治维新后开始盛行建 造西洋建筑从而瓷砖得到了广泛使用。在经历100年的历史锤炼，日本将其独创的技术和制 造工艺传承至今。
Development of the world. It's said that human beings began to use potteries as tableware or tea sets 700,000 years ago. It was for the first time used as building material in Mesopotamia in BC 3000. Its pottery making technology was taken to
China by Persians and developed since then.
From then on, terracottas and ceramic tiles have been used as building material.
In the 9th century, they are used to decorate the mosques of Moslem; the solemn arabesque patterns blazed then. With conquer of
Spain, it was popular in the whole Europe and used widely from temple buildings to residential buildings.
After Meiji restoration in 1868, buildings in western style were popular in Japan;
since then, terracottas and ceramic tiles came into use. With a
hundred years' development, Japan has refined its unique technology
and making method till now.
